They are designed to give you an overview of what CERT is about, introduce you to the vocabulary of CERT Members and what is expected of you as a CERT Member and what you shouldn’t do. The purpose of this course is to help you prepare for classroom CERT training that may be available in your community. This course will: - Provide foundation concepts for key CERT operations.
- Explain principles and guidelines for CERT activities.
- Preview the procedures that you will learn in the classroom.
Reading these documents and taking the final exam does not fully prepare you to be a CERT Member. Hands-on classroom attendance is also required. This course is designed to prepare you for classroom activities.
